Program, steps and tasks

A program is a series of steps created by a program coordinator to achive a goal.

In GetSandwich, a program coordinator can see all programs in the team from Settings > Manage Programs

Active vs Inactive programs

A presenter can only see programs that are in the Active state. An Inactive program is indicated by a label next to its name.

Create a new program with at least a step

To create a new program you will need:

  • A name and a description of a program — for example “Speak better. A program to help you be more articulate”
  • At least a step with a name and a description — for example “Read Presentation Zen. A book by Garr Reynolds”

Follow the video below for an example of how to create a program.

Go to Manage Programs > Add Program

Add a task

A task is a delivery required for a presenter to pass this step. It can be a video, audio, or simple a placeholder to represent a delivery has happened (in which you can see its feedback).

Using the example above, an example of a task name can be “Book summary”, and its description is “Record a book summary of Presentation Zen”.

Once you finished defining the program, steps and tasks, activate the program to make it available to the presenters.
